Full-time Role
Flex Shift - three 12-hour days Monday - Friday, with 4 hours on
Saturday. On call rotation.
Assistswith maintainingthe networks and systems that keep our
organization running. Deep technologicalexpertise with a wide range
of computer systems, hardware, and software isessential for the Jr.
Network Administrator to excel in this role and helpdrive our
organization forward.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in network design, implementation and ongoing
maintenance
- Prepares, implements, and monitors disaster procedures
andrecovery
- Maintains stable and consistent connectivity across all
networks
- Maintains reliable and robust Wi-Fi infrastructure
- Diagnoses hardware/softwareissues / bugs, performing the
appropriate fixes; working with other members ofthe technical
support and software development teams in order to identify
andresolve problems in a timely, efficient and effective
manner
- Logs/Updates all technical problems generated by the end
usersthrough the 'helpdesk' ticketing system
- Assists with troubleshooting production server(s) and
elevatesunresolved issues to engineering support
- Participates in the 'on-call' off hours support rotation
- Participates in special projects as directed by CIO
- Other duties as assigned What you bring to the table:
- 3+ years of experience supporting and maintaining Cisco
environments
- BA/BS degree in computer science or equivalent work-related
experience
- Professional certification CCNA required or attained within 90
days of employment
- Hands-on experience and knowledge of the Windows operating
system and application software, including sufficient knowledge of
DNS/DHCP/IP addressing
- Thorough understanding of network concepts (Routing, Switching,
Messaging, vLan's)
- Experience using scripting languages to automate systems and
application management functions
- Understanding of Active Directory, role-based security, and
group policy management
- Strong skills in planning, installation, configuration,
troubleshooting, monitoring, backup, recovery, and preventive
maintenance of enterprise Rapid7 management
- Ability to work independently on a team, and a virtual
team
